Just Like Heaven

One of the most rounded pop songs of all time is The Cure's monumental "Just Like Heaven", first put out in 1987, spawned from the sprawling "Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me" album. Since its inital release, this seminal classic has become something of a hallowed cultural artefact, universally praised for its compositional perfection, covered by artists as diverse as Katie Melua, Goldfinger and Dinosaur Jr., and has even lent its name to a recent sappy romantic comedy. Check out the stylish Tim Pope-directed video clip, which had the band ostensibly performing the song at the top of the windswept Beachy Head promontory.
